Thomas Tomczyk is an American journalist and Ana Cosenza, a Guatemalan film maker; they are about to set off on a solar electric boat down the entire length in the Ganges. A journey like this has never been attempted before, hence there were no existing solar boats to do it.
To put together a solar boat capable of traveling the 2,000 kilometer route they are partnering with our company, TeamSustain, that has enough experience in the field.

In 2008 & 2009, we had designed and built two boats – SUNRIDER & SURYA ( Solar powered electric boats , Limca Book record holders; viz a viz : Largest solar boat in Asia; fastest solar boat in Asia)
The 4.3 meter inflatable boat that is being built for Thomas will be ready in couple of days time and will be shipped to Rishikesh to begin the journey around 22nd Oct, 2016. Their final destination is Sagar island in the Gulf of Bengal, where they plan to arrive in mid December.
Last year Thomas completed a longest ride on an electric motorcycle: 28,000 kilometers from Philadelphia US to Patagonia. From the footage along the way they would be producing a six part documentary series for PBS, a US public television network.
